Family-Placed Obituary

PONDER, Marie Age 83 of Hamilton passed away at Ft. Hamilton Hospital on Sunday, January 1, 2006. She was born in Livingston, Kentucky on May 30, 1922 the daughter of Bennett and Clara (Pruitt) Mullins. On September 2, 1942 in Livingston, Kentucky she married Truman L. Ponder, who preceded her in death in 2001. She is survived by two sons, Truman B. Ponder and his wife Brenda and Richard L. Ponder, both of Hamilton; three sisters, Mabel Gentry and her husband Ruford, Helen Swanner, and Pauline Adams, all of Hamilton; one granddaughter, Brandy Darby and her husband Steven of Oxford; and two great-grandchildren, Adam and Emma Darby. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Bernice Chandler. Funeral Service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Wednesday, January 4, 2006 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Robert Skirvin, of North Fairfield Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the funeral home.

Richard, I just found out today about your Mother's passing away. I just want to say how very sorry I am and I am very sad to know you are in such sorrow. Please accept mine and Dale's deepest condolences and know that you are in our thoughts and prayers and never but a phone call away should you need to talk. Take care and God Bless you and your Family with the Comfort and Peace of your good memories of your Mom.
