Family-Placed Obituary

HIVELY, Mary Age 74, of Deerfield Beach, Florida, passed away on Friday, October 13, 2006 in North Broward Medical Center. She was born on November 15, 1931 in Hamilton, Ohio, the daughter of the late Thomas and Antonette (Pater) Magnuson. Mary married Richard Hively on January 27, 1951 in Hamilton at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Mary is survived by her two children, Steve Hively of Lakewood, Colorado and Liza Pesek (husband Frank) of Coconut Creek, Florida. Three grandchildren, Autumn Pesek, Amanda (Brian) Chmiel and Adam Hively of Thornton, Colorado. Mary was also preceded in death by her brothers Lee Magnuson, Tom Magnuson and sister Louise Lindner. Funeral services were held at the Kraeer Becker Funeral Home in Deerfield Beach, Florida. Burial in Deerfield Beach Memorial Cemetery. When married, Mary and Richard spent two years in California while he was in the Marine Band. Mary enjoyed the many wonderful times together with the many performances the band was involved in. There were so many beautiful memories. Returning to Hamilton we both worked and retired at Champion Paper for a total of 76 years. Mary will be missed greatly by all. She loved ceramics and quality time with her family.

My name is Krissy and Mary was my God Mother.It has been a while since I seen her.I just found out about Grandma Mary's passing. My heart is deeply saddened. I wish I could have seen her more recently and that we could have kept in touch with each other over the years.We kind of lost touch when she moved to Flordia.However,I loved her very much,and still do,she truly touched my heart!

I just found out about Grandma's passing. I am her God-Daughter, Karla. She was a wonderful God-Mother to my sister, Kristy, myself, and my brother, Kevin. I would like to hear from or be put in touch with Liza. I have and will miss her greatly.
