News Death Notice
KASARDA, Michael 60, of Middletown died Thursday May 1, 2008 at Liberty of Middletown. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio July 5, 1947 to parents Michael and Elsie (Hartman) Kasarda Jr. Mr. Kasarda graduated for Miami University in 1970 with a BS in business administration and did graduate work at the University of Tennessee. At Miami, he was an active member of the Alpha Delta Phi Fraternity. Michael worked for AK Steel for 28 years as an industrial engineer. He was an avid boater, woodworker and cartoonist. Michael is survived by his wife Diane (Wood) Kasarda, a son Adam Kasarda of San Diego, CA, sister Susan (Dave) Vetrick of Cleveland, OH., brother Rick Kasarda of FL., nieces and nephews; Matt Vetrick of FL, Lauren Vetrick and Courtney Nickell both of Cleveland, and Cameron Nickell of Scottsdale AZ., a great nephew Rowan Nickell, and a God-daughter Lauren Wood of Mason. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be Wednesday May 7, 2008 at 11:00 AM at Wilson Schramm Spaulding Funeral Home (3805 Roosevelt Blvd. at Bonita Dr.) Visitation will be 1 Hour prior to services from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery. Memorial contribution may be made to the American Cancer Society, Ohio Southwest Region, 2808 Reading Road Cincinnati, OH 45206.
