News Death Notice

PRICE, Persha Louise (nee: Guard) 93 of Lebanon, died Wednesday October 26, 2011. Born August 28, 1918 in Turtlecreek Township, OH to Charles and Margaret (nee: Blackburn) Guard, she was a graduate of the Christ Hospital School of Nursing. She worked for Grandview Hospital in Dayton for many years. A member of the LaSertoma and the Christ Hospital Alumni Association, she was active with the Otterbein Lebanon United Methodist Church. Preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Paul J. Price, one brother, Charles L. Guard Jr, and one sister, Betty Tapley, survivors include one sister, Alice Parent of Lebanon, nieces, Allison Nordgren of Trinidad, Judy Kline of Portland, ME, Martha Brown of Seattle, WA, Barbara Tapley of MI, Margie Barker of Middletown, OH, and Robin Long of Lebanon, OH, and nephews, David Tapley of Holland, MI, Charles L. Guard III of Lansing, NY, Hudson Guard and Garrett Guard, both of Lebanon, OH. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, November 13, 2011 at 1:30 PM at the Otterbein Lebanon United Methodist Church. Memorials requested to the Chief Paul J Price Scholarship Fund c/o The Dayton Foundation, 500 Kettering Tower, Dayton, Ohio, 45423. Arrangements by the Oswald-Hoskins Funeral Home, Lebanon.
