News Death Notice

HARRISON, Randall J. "Randy" 73, of Clearwater, Florida, passed away Monday, December 21, 2009, at his residence. He was born in Trenton, Ohio on November 29, 1936 and lived in Middletown until moving to Florida in 1983. He spent his entire life working to support his family, from Personnel Director of the City of Middletown, to Professor at Miami University of Ohio to his retirement in Florida, where he worked the last several years everyday at Arthur J. Gallagher, loving being needed and wanting to please everyone with his work. Surviving are his wife of 51 years, Mary; two daughters, Randi (Bill) Watson of Clearwater, and Tracey (Sam) Rodriguez of Tampa; two grandchildren, Brianne (Rob) Vaiculevich and Dante Rodriguez; two great grandchildren, Alexandra "Lexi" and Alyvia Vaiculevich; and one brother, William "Bull" of Nebraska. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Willie (Miles) Harrison and his brothers, Gus Allen and Charles Thomas "CT". ARRANGEMENTS: Memorial services were held at Sylvan-Abbey Funeral Home in Clearwater, Florida on Wednesday, December 23, 2009. Donations can be made at a website in his honor at the American Heart Association.

My deepest sympathy to Mary & family. I knew Randy while working for the City of Middletown in the '70's. He was very kind and considerate. He always helped people and will never be forgotten. I still have the Poinsettia dish set that Mary made, which he gave me one Christmas. Thinking of you.
