Family-Placed Obituary
BATZE, Robert Carl Age 86 of Carlisle passed away Thursday afternoon, December 8, 2005 at Middletown Hospital. He was born in Hamilton, Ohio on May 10, 1919. He was a self-employed painting contractor, and lived in Trenton for several years. Mr. Batze served in the Army and was a Life-Member of the DAV. Survivors include his daughter, Angela (Dana) Fox of Carlisle; his son, Robert A. (Fran) Batze of Hillsboro, Ohio; eight grandchildren, Amy (Terry) King, Julie (Brian) Pearson, Ann Marie (Danny) Horn, Michelle Martin, Ryan (Aimee) Fox, Lindsay (Ryan) George, David J. Batze, and Tracy Young; and six great- grandchildren, Jeremy King, Molly King, Braden Pearson, Braxton Pearson, Kyle Horn, and Alex Horn. He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Flossie, in 2001; and by a son, David Carl, in 2002. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 13 at 1:00 p.m. at the Breitenbach-McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home, officiating by Pastor Douglas VanNest. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until service time Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Hickory Flat Cemetery.
