News Death Notice

CREAGMILE, Robert H. age 86 of Hamilton died Tuesday, October 1, 2013, at Westover Retirement Community. He was born in Hamilton, Ohio on February 12, 1927, the son of William B. and Margaret (Miller) Creagmile, and was a 1945 graduate of Hamilton Catholic High School. On June 30, 1956, in St. Peter Church in Hamilton, he married Patricia A. Schurger. Mr. Creagmile served in the United States Army of Occupation in Germany during WWII. Robert worked as a sales manager for Continental Supply, retiring in 1989. He was a member of St. Peter in Chains Church, a member of the Knights of Columbus Father Butler Council, the St. Vincent de Paul Society and a past member of the Hamilton Optimist Club. Survivors include his wife, Pat; four daughters, Anne (Daniel) Straitiff of Cleveland, Ohio, Kathryn Pfeifer of West Chester, Ohio, Mary (Paul) Brown of Loveland, Ohio, and Jane (Mark Eitel) Creagmile of Cincinnati, Ohio; seven grandchildren, Kyle, Adam, Abby, and Jenny Brown, Joe Straitiff, Eric and Chloe Pfeifer; four cousins, Janet Baker, Sharon (Edd) Flynn, Allen Miller, and Marilyn (Russ) Natali. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Jack Brown at birth. Prayers will be offered at 9:30am Monday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am Monday in St. Peter in Chains Church with Fr. Patrick McMullen celebrant. Entombment will be in St. Stephen Mausoleum. Visitation will be 5-7:00pm Sunday in the funeral home.
