News Death Notice

ABNEY, Roy Lee 69 of Lebanon passed peacefully Saturday, April 11, 2009 in Flemingsburg, Ky. Born September 30, 1939 in Winchester, Ky., the son of Rupford and Virlie (Belivens) Abney, he was a loving husband, father and grandfather and had worked for many years at Production Plating Works and Valley Kitchens and was retired from Progressive Technologies in Lebanon. Preceded in death by his parents, brother Junior Abney and sister Georgie Watts, he is survived by his loving and devoted wife of fifty years Judy (Whitt) Abney of Lebanon, Sons Wendell (Beth) Abney of Butlerville, Bobby (Debbie) Abney of Ewing, Ky. and Richard of Lexington, Ky., daughter Vickie (Danny) Perkins of Flemingsburg, Ky., brothers Gene (Ruth), Charles (Juanita) and Forest (Karen) all of Winchester, James (Helen) of Wilmington and John (Sylvia) Abney of Lebanon, sisters Rhama Sidwell of Mason and Virginia Browning of Winchester, Ky., six grandchildren Kyle, Kerin, Nathan and Felicia Abney, Chad (Lacy) Gibson and Danielle Hendrix, two great-grandchildren Hunter and LeiAnna Abney and a host of nieces and nephews Visitation was Tuesday evening with funeral service on Wednesday, April 15, 2009 all at Stine & Kilburn FH Lebanon with burial in the Lebanon Cemetery .
