News Death Notice

GIBNEY, Ruby Tyra (Mize) 91, of Fairfield, Ohio passed away Wednesday, August 03, 2011 at Tri-County Extended Care. She was born in Campton, Wolf County, Ky. on November 4, 1919, the daughter of McKinley and Eliza Tyra. She is survived by her daughter, Judy (Jim) Stauder of Daphne, Alabama; son, Gene (Bernie) Mize of Fairfield; grandchildren, Yvette Oliver, Kimberly Stauder, Cindy Stauder, Pam Bunch, Missy Spencer, Denise Hale and Christa Hughes; several loving great-grandchildren and many special nieces and nephews. Ruby raised her family in Middletown, Ohio and later moved to Arlington, Texas when she married Howard "Bud" Gibney. She was preceded in death by her son, John Dean Mize; parents, McKinley and Eliza Tyra; siblings, Grace Combs, George Tyra, Robert Tyra, Mary Trent, Virgie Trent, Dewey Tyra, Lucy Hensley, Lura Landsaw, Viola Tyra, Hazel Watkins and Alma Banks; and husband, Bud Gibney. A service for family and close friends will be held at Woodside Cemetery Chapel in Middletown, Ohio at 10:00am on Saturday, August 6, 2011. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Hospice of Cincinnati, 4310 Cooper Rd., Cincinnati, Ohio 45242. The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the staff of both Tri-County Extended Care and Hospice of Cincinnati for all the loving care they provided.
