Family-Placed Obituary
SHELDON, Ruby M. Age 81, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, April 2, 2005 at the Kettering Memorial Hospital. She is born the daughter of Elmer and Virginia (Strader) Winget on November 1, 1923 in Columbus, Ohio. She is preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Edward Winget and sister, Ruth Winget. She married Newman Sheldon, August 2, 1946. She is survived by her husband, Newman; daughter, Lois (Terry) Vollmer; son, David (Jennifer) Sheldon; sister, Deloris Chenoweth of Arizona; five grandchildren, Jennifer, Kevin, Evan, Brenna and Jane; nephew, Norman Chenoweth, and many other friends and family. Ruby was a dedicated wife, mother, friend and Christian. She was a member of the Vandalia Church of Nazarene, involved in MOPS, served with husband for 59 years in ministry. Service will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 6, 2005 at the Parkview Church of Nazarene, 4701 Far Hills Road, with Pastor Daniel Burris and Dr. Hansen officiating. Family will receive friends 5-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 5, 2005 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd. Graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 6, 2005 at the Springfield Cemetery in Reily Township.
