News Death Notice
RHOADS, Sarah Reneé 24, of Centerville, Ohio, formally of New Carlisle, passed away unexpectedly early Tuesday morning, June 3, 2014. Our angel went to Heaven as a result of a tragic accident on June 1, 2014. She was born on October 27, 1989 in Dayton, Ohio. She was a graduate of Tecumseh High School, Class of 2008, where she was a member of the Honor Society. Sarah was an avid Harry Potter fan, and memorabilia collector. She loved music and photography. She is survived by her parents, Rebecca Winkler of New Carlisle, OH, and Larry Rhoads of Dayton, OH, brothers, Robert Johnson of New Carlisle, OH, Richard (Sarah) Winkler of Middletown, OH, Grandmother Betty Rohrer of Wooster, OH; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, friends and her extended family at Start Skydiving. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 11 AM to 2 PM on Friday, June 6, 2014 with the service following 2 PM at the TROSTEL, CHAPMAN, DUNBAR & FRALEY FUNERAL HOME, New Carlisle, Ohio. Burial will take place at the Bellbrook Cemetery, Bellbrook, OH. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to www.trostelchapman.com. Memories and photos may be shared at http://on.fb.me/1x8TxTS.

I am sorry for her loss, and the grieving of her family and friends at work. I just had a wonderful experience there yesterday and saw a beautiful painting, high over the register area. I was drawn to it, and couldn't look away. I only read today of the tragedy, then remembered the painting. Was the painting of Sarah?

I haven't seen Sarah since we were fifteen but I remember that she was the only girl taller than me in our school, she was hilarious, and a devout Harry Potter reader - all things I admired. Thank you for being so awesome Sarah.

start skydiving is a fantastic business and to hear of this tragedy after a recent positive experience is heartbreaking.....my heart goes out to people like mel, kyle, alex, will, and larry, as well as the others who worked with her or knew her personally.

To the family of Sarah Rhodes although I did not know this beautiful young woman I know the pain of losing a child all to well I am praying that God will strengthen you during this time an all the days, weeks, months an years to follow as this is a pain no parent should have to endure. My daughter, Jessica, was friends with Sarah since they met in high school. I can remember her coming home talking about what a talented, free spirited young woman Sarah was. I also remember the time she made my younger daughter's dreams come true by taking her to a Jonas Brothers concert. This is how I will always remember her. She was one who exhibited true friendship and I know she will be greatly missed. I cannot completely express my sorrow for you, her family, but you all will be on my heart. Fly high Sarah...

I didn't know this young lady personally but my heart is heavy for the families lost. I pray that God wrap's His arms around the family and give them the strength and comfort during this time. She's in Heaven walking with our Heavenly Father and singing with all the beautiful Angels.

First I can't emagine what she must have went through when that thing hit her in the head, but my heart hurt for her and her family. I don't know her or her family, bv my heart still hurt for them. Sarah was well known and loved by the many persons from the Archdiocese of Cincinnati that she greeted and did fingerprinting for in Middletown. We mourn this tragic loss and send our deepest condolences to Sarah's family. You are all in our thoughts and prayers.

I never met Sarah in person, she living in Ohio and I in Louisiana. I knew her only through Instagram, but that was enough. She was so beautiful, and her dry humor made me smile. I am so, so heartbroken to hear of her passing, and offer all my love and condolences to her family and friends.

Sarah is a childhood friend of my daughter , Lindsay . Sarah was a very sweet, kind girl. This is such a awful thing. Our prayers go out to her and her family. She will deffently be missed by many. Now she is in such a better place, with Jesus .
