News Death Notice

SAMS, Thomas R. went Home to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 27, 2012, his 70th birthday. Tom graduated from Garfield High School. He was united in marriage to Judy Eagle and to this union two sons were born. E-3 Sams, US Navy, served His country with honor. Tom had been employed with Champion Paper for 25 years. His happiest times were spent with his family, especially bowling and camping with his two sons. He also enjoyed playing golf and loved working alongside his sons, helping them with their landscaping business. Tom was a member of the Princeton Pike Church of God for many years. Survivors include his wife, Judy Sams; sons, Tom Sams and Rodney (Jackie) Sams; two brothers, Rick and the late, Brenda Sams, and Scott (Michelle) Sams; two sisters, Margie Hensley and Robin Pendergest; a loving aunt, Wilma Weber; mother-in-law, Iva Eagle; nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at the Colligan Funeral Home with Pastor Barry Clardy, Pastor Sam Luke and Pastor Simon Fussnecker officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Tuesday 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM and Wednesday 10:00 AM til time of service at 11:00 AM. Online condolences to www.colliganfuneralhome.com
