HAGGARD, William "Jack" Beloved husband of Nila Haggard (nee Sheets); Devoted father of Roy Jackson Haggard, Gary (Patty) Haggard and Brenda Fields; Dear step-father of Kristine Sorensen; Loving grandfather of Danny Ferrell, Captain Kerry Dean Fields, Aaron Haggard, Specialist Dallas Haggard, Jesse Haggard, Sergeant Brian Haggard, Shane Michael Fields and Michelle Haggard; Dear great grandfather of Taylor Ferrell, Olivia Ferrell, Lylah Haggard and Caiden Haggard; Caring brother of Shirley (Roy) Drew; Preceded in death by his parents, Dewey & Lettie Haggard; siblings, Evelyn Wesley, John Haggard, Luther "Luke" Haggard, Christine Hagadorn, Fayrene Dick and 12 step-brothers and step-sisters. Residence Evendale. Passed away on June 18, 2013 at the age of 81. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 10am at Evendale First Church of God, 3853 Glendale-Milford Rd., Evendale. Visitation will be on Sunday from 3-6pm at the Paul R. Young Funeral Home, 7345 Hamilton Ave., Mt. Healthy. Donations may be sent to Camp Lebanon Retreat Center, 4464 Emmons Rd., Oregonia, OH 45054. Jack made a Christmas promise to me (his daughter, Brenda) in 2008. His promise was to fix whatever broke or quit working at Pearls Diner. Wow! He volunteered to be my fix-it man. He's my dad and he just wanted to help. That was the best Christmas gift ever. Little did he know how many things we could break, destroy, tear up or go wrong. On any given day you could find him on the roof, the floor, in an ice machine, in the freezer, inside the dishwasher, wrapped around a toaster, or on top of a scaffold. I did get the head shake quite often, but he never said no. He never let me down, if it could be fixed he would fix it. If he wasn't repairing something he was making Chili. My dad deserves all the credit for the Chili we serve today. I could write pages about all that we endured in order to make that happen, but that's classified. Finally, when he would take a break to eat or rest he would find someone that would listen to him talk about God and His Word. I know that at this very moment he is in Heaven. This has been his ultimate goal as long as I can remember. I love you dad. You will be missed by all of the employees, friends and family. Dear Nila and family, so sorry for your loss but "know" that Jack is now resting in Heaven n watching over all of you. He was a one of a kind man. We are thinking of you and your family during this difficult time. I have many fond memories of Uncle Jack during your visits here to Nebraska like him showing me how to give snake bites and mouse bites which i have now passed on to my boys!! And listening to all the jokes and stories he used to tell. We love you and wish we could be there to support you. We are praying for you and you family.

Jack was always there when I needed him for special projects or any work needed at Cincinnati Container. Jack was a friend and a very talented man, I will miss his expertise and his friendship.

What a "jack" of all trades Jack was. Added to his natural talent to build and repair, was a very kind heart and gentle soul. I first met Jack at DuBois and our time there was memorable. He was an outstanding man - soft spoken, helpful, religious and a friend to many. I will miss him at our reunion luncheons.

Uncle Jack was my favorite (shush....don't tell Luke) he always reminded me so much of my Mom!!! Best time together was the last time I came to your house for lunch and we just talked,looked at pictures & enjoyed each other. Glad I have that special memory. God is already laughing at Jack's jokes and you know that's the truth.

When I really understood what Jack could do with creating pieces or parts for our printing department or any other machine part given to him I was amazed. I had never met a man so talented at making anything we needed. He always had a smile on his face. We will miss him.

We are thinking of you and your family. Wish we could be there to give everyone a HUG! We always enjoyed visiting with Jack. He was always so helpful if we had a problem, or needed something fix (my grandfather's clock), etc... Chuck will never forget their trips to the Thrift stores in Cinn. We remember the year he taught Jacque to say "Jack's A Good Boy!", and Jack grinning everytime he got Jacque to repeat it. Jacque remembers the scripture Jack shared with her years ago. We all have many great memories of Jackson!

We have lost a great man but yet have gained a better Guardian Angel. I am gonna miss you so much Papaw Jack. I will always remember all of well spent conversations we had on life and God. Jack was a rarity in today's times, a genuinely good man. He was a fixture at Cincinnati Container for over 30 years. His smile and gentle nature will be truly missed. Jack, thanks for all you've done for us over the years!
