Alice L. Jordan, 79, of Seaside, CA, passed away peacefully on Sept. 30, 2022, after a very brief hospital stay.
She is survived by her husband, Don Jordan, former mayor of Seaside, CA; her sister, Earnestine Jones of Ponchatoula, LA; one godson, Rotrell Hampton of Baton Rouge, LA, currently residing in Austell, GA; a host of nieces, one nephew and a host of great and great-great-nieces and nephews.
Born in Osyka, MS, Alice grew up and lived in Hammond, LA, for many years, before relocating to several states, including Indiana, Florida, Georgia and finally California.
Alice, a graduate of Southern University in Baton Rouge, LA, was very active in her community through several civic and charitable organizations, two of which include, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and The Links, Inc.
Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service, which will be held at 11 a.m. Oct. 29, 2022, at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, 410 E. Colorado St in Hammond, LA. A repast will follow the service.
Alice Davis Jordan will be sorely missed.
