Arthur David "Art" Daussat passed away on Sunday, August 29, 2021 in Hammond, LA. He was born on November 5, 1945 in New Orleans, LA to the late Arthur Francis Daussat and Eugenie Vandrell Daussat.
Art was the beloved husband of Brenda Vervik Daussat for 51 years. He was the loving father of Ashley Daussat Director (Lane) and Courtney Lynn Daussat. Art was the proud grandfather of Abe Director, Madeline Director, and Audrey Director. He was the dear brother of Juanita Pearson (the late John), Linda Broussard, Dianne Graiser (Buddy), Rick Daussat (Patsy). Art is survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Art served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He owned and operated ADD Electric in Hammond, LA for over 40 years serving his community and friends and family with his electric and "jack of all trades" talents. Art served the Ponchatoula Strawberry Festival for over 30 years as electrician over the grounds. Aside from his career, Art was an avid golfer and President of Oak Knoll Country Club for a season of time. In his retired years, you might find him enjoying his grandchildren and family, using the newest tool or being a "foreman" to the next home project amongst his family. His legacy will forever live in the hearts of those who love him.
