Dear Bret, Brooke, and Patricia,

Words cannot begin to express my sadness at Grace's passing. I first met Grace when she was attending Southeastern and working part-time in Sam Dileo's law office where I was also working in my first legal secretarial job when George and I first moved to the Hammond area. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers during this most difficult time, and my hope is that you can find comfort in the beautiful memories you all created during her life that was cut short way too soon.

With sympathy and caring,

Today Heaven is a better place with the passing of Judge Gasaway. For the family, my prayer that God fill the void of her passing with the love and peace of our Heavenly Father that in times like these seems to be beyond human comprehension.

A member of the judiciary that will be greatly missed.

Dear Family of a most beloved life long friend who was like family to the Dickens....So many wonderful memories...As the song says "Precious Memories" how they linger, how they ever flood my soul. I hold the priceless gift of our months of dialogue text back & forth....Jesus, His Peace, Rest,& Assurance....our focus. We did not make our meeting in the garden (courtyard) but I am looking for the day where we will be granted that garden visit in Heaven....where our Dear Mother's wait.....My greatest longing to join y'all & finally see my Saviour Face to face. Thank you dear friend for all those you touched in your life. As children I remember vividly your desire to pursue your dream. You worked so long & hard to accomplish all that you did. Thank for these precious visits....I have them saved on my phone. Till we meet again.....All my love. Carolyn Dickens Songy

My best memories of Grace were at Grandma Bennett's house on South Olive Street. Grandma would always walk us around the block to Woody's to get candy and gum. We would play for hours in the dirt in front of Grandma's house. I also remember attending church with Grace.

So sad to hear that Grace passed away. She owns a part of my heart. As we had families and careers we didn't keep in close contact but when we did see each other it was like no time had passed. Grace was a very special person from the time I first met her when she was about two years old.
My heart is sad beyond words, I really thought she would beat the leukemia.
Brooke, she was so proud of you. Brett, you were her best friend.
I know how much she wanted a grandchild. I'm glad God let her experience that blessing.
