On Saturday, October 11, 2025, Katelyn Danielle Mann died in her sleep in Lafayette, La. She was 28 years old.
Katelyn loved God and kept everyone she held dear in her heart and in her daily prayers. She always made sure that no one left from a visit or a phone conversation without an "I love you."
Among her favorite things were her Mom's red beans and rice, many genres of music, Origami, Sudoku, loom knitting, bead crafting, sewing, jigsaw puzzles, butterflies and taking loving care of her cat and namesake, Katie Catt. She also found joy in warm breezes on sunny days while having snowballs at her favorite snowball stand in Abita Springs.
She never met a stranger and her smile lit up every room that she entered. She had a big heart and deeply loved all who touched her life.
She is survived by her Mother, Melinda Mann. Father, Danny Mann. Grandmothers, Molly Collins, Josie Davis, Carolyn Thomas. Grandfathers, Marty Davis, Jerry Collins, Dennis Thomas. Sister, Tiffany Entrevia. Brother, Logan Meek. Aunts, Melissa Kolb, Connie Davis, Sandra Davis. Uncles, Ryan Kolb, James Davis III, Donnie Davis, Scott Davis, Timmy Davis. Sister-in-law, Erica Meek. Brother-in-law, John Entrevia. Nephews, Peyton Smith, A.J. Kolb. Nieces, Josie Entrevia, Claire Whitehead, Riley Meek, Lillian Meek. Along with numerous cousins, extended family and dear friends who sorely miss her. Special mention for one of her dearest friends, Mr. David Cocke.
She was preceded in death by her Birth Mother, Rebecca (Thomas) Mann. Grandmothers, Esther Davis, Ruthie Thomas. Aunt, Gloria Nell Davis. Grandfathers, Paul Taylor, James (Bud) Davis Jr., Charles Mann, J.D. Thomas.
A memorial service will be held at New Covenant Church Of God, 64858 Russell Town Road, Roseland, LA, on Saturday, November 1, 2025. Service will be held from 3:00 to 5:00 PM. Dinner reception to be held following service.

Danny and family, I´m so sorry about Katelyn´s passing. I´m sorry that I can´t attend the service but my prayers are and have been with all of you. May God quickly bring you peace and comfort.

I met Kathleen a few times while visiting Mr. David. A very sweet and beautiful young lady. Her presence lit up the room. Praying for peace and understanding for each of you.
