On Saturday, April 15, 2023, God decided it was time to bring one of his most compassionate souls home. Taylor passed away at the age of 29. With the wind at his back, Taylor was in school for welding and HVAC to begin another successful chapter in his life. Anyone who had the privilege to know Taylor could tell you he was the most kind and loving soul you could meet. With his contagious smile that not only lit his face up but also made anyone near him smile as well. Taylor loved to make everyone happy and was one of the most selfless people to walk this Earth. Taylor's daughters were the apples of his eye, and he took any chance he had to spoil them. In his spare time, you'd find him binging Anime or LSU football, conquering video games, or even rocking out to his favorite songs! No matter the situation he always made the best of things going on. You could always count on Taylor to be able to light up a room, crack jokes, or even busting out his smooth and goofy dance moves. Taylor had a great sense of humor even as a child his grandfather nicknamed him "too funny man". Taylor was and will forever be remembered as a kind man with a heart of gold who would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. He will forever be missed by all who were privileged to know him. Taylor may be gone from this earth, but we can all find peace in knowing he'll forever be with us in spirit and our hearts.
He is survived by his parents, Ernest M. Burns Jr and Erin B. Burns, Mary H. Hayes and Benny Hayes Jr.; daughters, Lakyn Taylor Dufrene, Melody Faye Crawford, Aurora Tsuki Burns; sisters, Madeline Mandella, Emma Mandella; brothers, Brayden Berglund, Benny Hayes III; grandfather, Benny Harris; fiancé, Laura Dobbs; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Taylor is preceded in death by his grandparents, Ernest M. Burns Sr., Margaret Burns, and Mary Lou Harris.
