Nona, age 85, passed away on Sunday, April 13, 2025. She was a native of Magee, Mississippi and a long-time resident of Albany, Louisiana. Nona studied Elementary Education at Southeastern Louisiana University and was so talented that the Literature Department had asked her to become their Student Resident in Writing. She later went on to become a homemaker and care for her husband and children. Nona loved LSU Sports and watched them play all year between basketball, softball, and football. In her spare time, you could find her cooking or reading. Nona was a brilliant woman who will be forever remembered and missed dearly.
She is survived by her two sons, William Flynt Stilley and Benjamin Samuel Stilley.
Nona is preceded in death by her loving husband of 61 wonderful years, William Donald Stilley.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Graveside Service at Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery in Albany, Louisiana on Wednesday, April 16, 2025 at 12:30 p.m.
