Steven James Catalanatto, found peace with God on March 27, 2023, as his body lost the fight with a septic staph infection. This loving man was born on May 14, 1981. Anyone knowing him knows how truly he treasured his three loving children Emily Claire, Mathew Steven and Audrey Beth. He is also survived by his parents, Vincent Clarence Catalanatto and Myra Hood Catalanatto; sister, Jamie Holley, and husband, Michael; niece, Addison; brother, Dr. Samuel Catalanatto and wife, Heather; Godchild, Connor; nephew, Carter, who have also lost their "Bubba" and loving "Shuggie." He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Steven was a 1999 graduate of Chalmette High School and a 2006 graduate of Southeastern Louisiana University. He swam competitively and coached swimming in St. Bernard and Hammond. He played on many baseball and basketball teams in St Bernard. Steven also coached baseball for PARD and Chappapela. He was an Allstar cheerleader for Chalmette School and Southeastern University. He has worked with many companies since 16 from St.Bernard,New Orleans, Slidell, Hammond, Ponchatoula, and other areas in southeast Louisiana and Mississippi. At the time of illness, he was working for himself with his own business. On Tuesday, April 11, 2023, his family invites you to join them at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Ponchatoula, La for a visitation at 10 a.m until a memorial mass at 11 a.m. Steven's celebration of Life will continue at the Strawberry Building at Memorial Park from 12-3 p.m. Anyone who knew Steven knew he loved to talk,laugh and be with his family and friends. He was loved by so many and he loved back big! In lieu of flowers an account has been set up at Capital One through Zelle for his three children using reference number 9856873997 or 9859813975.
