ALBERT ACOSTA Obituary

ALBERT ACOSTA

November 28, 1935 – February 21, 2026

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Albert Acosta who entered eternal rest on February 21, 2026, at the age of 90, surrounded by the love of his family in Hanford.

Albert is survived by his lifetime partner of 47 years, Consuelo "Connie" Hope Mendez; five children, Gilbert Acosta, Sidney Mendez, Christy Rodriguez, Patricia Correa, and April Valdez; 12 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren; all of whom were a source of great pride and joy in his life.

Albert was preceded in death by his son, Joey Mendez; and siblings, Emilio Silva, Pedro Silva, Gomesindo Silva, Emetiro Silva, Faustino Silva, Anastasia Huayen, Maria Bonella, and Vincenta Saenz.

Albert was born on November 28, 1935, in Tornillo, TX as one of thirteen children born to Maria Acosta. He spent most of his early life in Texas and New Mexico.

Albert honorably served in the United States Army and National Guard and in 1959, he made his home in Corcoran where he met his lifetime partner, Connie, in 1979. Albert dedicated over 38 years of hard work to J.G. Boswell, while he and Connie built a quiet and happy life together.

Albert will be remembered for his deep devotion to family, unwavering work ethic, and the meaningful life he built through perseverance, love, and service.

He leaves behind a lasting legacy that will continue through the many generations who loved and cherished him.

Family and Friends are invited to view Albert's memorial page at www.peoplesfuneralchapel.com and write condolences.
