John Gravance Obituary
July 5, 1932 - February 22, 2023
Sam went to be with the Lord on February 22nd, 2023. He was well known in the community and helped everyone.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years Joy Gravance, and survived by his children Daniel Gravance, Linda Stone, and Kevin Gravance, 9 grandchildren, and 18 great grandchildren.
A visitation will be held at 5:30-7:00 P.M. on Tuesday March 7, 2023 with a Rosary beginning at 7:00 P.M. at Phipps-Dale Funeral Chapel in Lemoore, California. A graveside service will be held Wednesday March 8th, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at Lemoore Cemetery.

I grew up in the neighborhood and remember Mr. Gravance and Mrs. Gravance fondly. They were always such lovely people and I absolutely adored the figure cutouts and other decorations they had outside of their home. God bless him, and I hope he is resting peacefully with Miss Joy.

I've know Sam and his family for 60 years. Great people all, and this saddens me to hear of Sam's death. Danny has been a good friend for many years. God bless Sam and his family!

Sorry to hear of Sam's passing. Sad to think we'll never see him sitting on the porch in the evening, or having a walk down the alley with one of his doggies. The care he took with his place was such a credit to our little block. For those of us who were born and raised here, it's just another reminder of how short a time we have on this earth. Go with GOD. We are the ones left to miss them.

Sam was like my second father as my father passed in 2012. He had lots of interesting stories of the old days. Many times we sat at the kitchen table laughing at the stories and contemplating life. I will miss you Sam. See you soon.
