LINDA PANNETT Obituary

LINDA ELAINE (HENSON) PANNETT

July 18, 1953 – September 1, 2024

Linda Elaine (Henson) Pannett passed away peacefully on September 1, 2024, at the age of 71. She was being treated at Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno, California, for her second hemorrhagic stroke. Linda was born on July 18, 1953, in Oakland, California, to Guy C. Henson and Theresa L. Henson.

Linda attended Hanford High School and College of the Sequoias. She came to know Jesus in her teenage years and was a member at First Baptist Church in Hanford.

Linda met Gary L. Pannett in Fresno and exchanged letters while Gary was enlisted in the U.S. Navy. They were married on February 19, 1975, at First Baptist Church in Hanford, California. The couple gave birth to four children. Linda enjoyed knitting, crocheting, baking, and shopping with her mom and her children. Family was a priority to Linda, so she became a homemaker to devote her time to her children. Not only did Linda stay home with her own children; she dedicated her life to caring for many more children as well. Each family that came through her daycare ended up becoming a lifelong friend, and Linda always made sure that she kept in touch with the families. Linda's sincere generosity and pure love for others truly impacted countless families throughout her life.

Linda was an active volunteer in her church; she and Gary served in children's ministry at First Baptist for many years. She was a staple in the nursery every Sunday, holding babies and helping kids.

Christmas was a special time for Linda. She loved having a large tree and would decorate it a particular way. She found joy in wrapping gifts for all of her family and friends with her impressive collection of wrapping paper and her beautiful ribbon and bows, always making each one look truly unique. She was well known for both her famous Chex-mix and her scrumptious chocolate chip cookies that she only made during the holidays, and she would give bags full of these delectable treats to everyone she knew. It seems like a simple expression of love, but it brought joy to everyone and truly reflected her giving and loving spirit.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents: Theresa and Guy Henson. She is survived by her husband: Gary Pannett; her four children: Bradley (& Meredith) Pannett, Amy Pannett, Jeffrey (& Bailey) Pannett, and Nicole (& Shane) Pickering; her five grandkids: Jack, Eleanor, Jasper, Calvin, and Evangeline; and her three siblings: William "Bill" Henson, Nancy (Henson) Patch, and Guy Henson Jr.

A Celebration of Life will be held at First Baptist Church in Hanford on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at 10:30 AM; 9125 13 ½ Ave. Hanford, CA 93230. The family wishes to thank the medical team at Community Regional Medical Center for their tender care to Linda. Family and friends are invited to view Linda's legacy at www.peoplesfuneralchapel.com and express their condolences. In lieu of flowers, please send all donations to Valley Children's Hospital.
