William Willie Silva passed away peacefully in his home on December 22, 2022 at the age 90.

Willie was born and raised in Lemoore and lived a full life, volunteering, enjoying family and friends, and coaching his three children.

Willie served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War, and married Marge Carreiro upon his return in 1957. They were married for 65 years. He worked for Pirelli-Armstrong for 30 years, but his passions were watching his children, grandchildren, nieces & nephews play various sports over the years. Along with Marge, Willie provided years of softball & baseball coaching. He was proud to have attended every game possible during his kids sports' careers, going as far as flying to Omaha, Nebraska to watch daughter Janee play in the College Softball World Series finals for Fresno State in 1982.

Willie loved to fish off the pier and hunt for clams in his beloved second home, Pismo Beach, and even more, visit with friends and family members. He volunteered for the Lemoore Trinity & St Anthony Committee for over 30 years. He also volunteered as a spotter up in the press box at Lemoore High School football games. He was thrilled to see the Lemoore Tigers win the Section D2 Championship last month. He also loved the San Francisco Giants & Fresno State Bulldogs.

Willie is survived by his wife, Marge of Lemoore; son Bill of Lemoore; daughters Janee Martin (Ed) of Murphys and Rhonda Simpson (Lanny) of Kingsburg. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Rosary & Mass will be January 13th, 10am at St Peters Church in Lemoore.
