Judith (Judy) Freeman, of Bridgman and Grand Beach, age 81, passed away peacefully on Sept. 3, 2021. Judy 's passing was unrelated to Covid-19.

Born January 11, 1940, and raised in Harbor Country, Judy was a graduate of New Buffalo High School in 1957. Judy married the late George Fabis (1938- 2001) on January 12, 1963, and had four children. She married Charles Freeman on February 17th, 1990.

Judy was a graduate of Memorial Hospital's Nursing School (South Bend) in 1960. Judy started her Nursing career in San Bernardino, California and finished her career with 32 years of service at St. Anthony Hospital in Michigan City, IN. Judy loved to care for others and her career allowed her to live this passion daily.

Judy was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She treasured her children and grandchildren and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role as "Juju" to her ten grandchildren. She was their biggest fan and nothing made her happier than spending time with them. Judy had a quiet and soft personality and made friends with everyone she met.

Judy enjoyed animals and rescued many dogs and cats over the years and gave them a loving and caring home. Horses and carousels were also near and dear to her. Judy was always creating crafts for her grandchildren. She loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping throughout her life.

Judy was preceded in death by her loving parents Genetta and Lou Golob, and brothers Gene Plant, David Golob, She leaves behind her husband of 31 years, Charles; brother Louis Golob, and children Maria (Ross) Maroney, George (Janet) Fabis, Patricia (Rob) Milano, and Suzanne Fabis; and step children Donald (Jacque) Freeman and Yvonne (Daniel) Schmidtmann; grandchildren Ross and Allison Maroney; Zachery, Joshua and Jillian Fabis; Dominic (Anika) and Vincent Milano; and Ben Fabis; step grandchildren James (MacKenzie) Freeman, and Nicole (Amiee) Favia She was the fond sister-in-law of Michael and Jacki Fabis; and Joseph Fabis; and great grandchildren Edith Saltzman and Charlotte Freeman.

Judy's love brightened all of our lives and she will be dearly missed.

Services were held on Sunday, September 5th, at LaPorte New Church in LaPorte, IN.
