NEW BUFFALO - Mary Lou Killips, 88, passed away at the Rittenhouse in Michigan City, IN, on Tuesday – November 11, 2025.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Sommerfeld Chapel – 15 N. Barton St., New Buffalo, MI.
Mary Lou was born on May 10, 1937 in Sault Ste Marie, MI, to the late Louis and Eldeen (Peffers) Vincenzetti. On October 19, 1957 she married Albert Richard "Dick" Killips. He preceded her in death on March 21, 2024.
Mary Lou was an amazing baker and cook. She would often help with luncheons at the American Legion and at St. Mary's. Mary Lou enjoyed nature especially watching and feeding birds. She was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and also enjoyed crocheting.
Mary Lou is survived by her son – Richard Louis (Margaret) Killips of Three Oaks; a granddaughter – Maura Jane Killips of Three Oaks; and an uncle – Phil Vincenzetti of Indianapolis. She is preceded in death by a granddaughter – Katherine Ann Killips.
Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday – November 14, 11:00am, at St. Mary of the Lake Church in New Buffalo, with Father Basker Lopez officiating. Burial follows at Pine Grove Cemetery – New Buffalo. Visitation with the family precedes the service at the church from 10:00am-11:00am.
