NEW BUFFALO - Sharon Louise Roberts, born in Michigan City on June 7, 1945, has passed away on October 28, 2025, at the age of 80 in her home surrounded by her family and her loving husband.
She was married to Ronald Roberts for over 59 years and together they share 3 living children: Jeffery (Julie), Kimberly (Matt Heinen), and Michael (Malisa).
Their family grew to have 11 grandchildren: Kathleen (Joshua), Emma (Devin), Joseph (Courtney), Samantha (Bryan), Ryan (Maddie), Emily (Jake), Matthew, Matthew Jr. (Jasmine), Corey, Kyle, and Megan along with 5 great grandchildren: Audrey, Violet, Luca, Aurora, and Sterling.
Deceased are her parents, Robert and Lois Klettke; sister, Sandy Yates, brothers Steve, Skip, Scot, and Sam, and infant son, Gregory Aaron, and son-in-law Randy Biller. A brother, Stuart (Vicki), survives in Arizona.
Sharon was a professional secretary, first working for a major insurance company headquartered in Seattle. She eventually returned to the Michigan City area, working as a private secretary at Dunhem Bush.
A few years after her marriage to Ron in 1966, she found her calling and chose to be a stay-at-home mother after her second child was born. This choice gave her the opportunity to support her family and become the matriarch that many came to rely on.
She especially enjoyed decorating the house for the various seasons and holidays, creating magic for anyone who walked through her door year after year. She was a natural care-giver and lovingly opened her home to many in need. She loved to laugh, take care of her family, and found comfort in her faith.
