MIDDLESBORO — Robert Bianchi, 57, of Middlesboro, passed away Thursday, November 7, 2013, at Fort Sanders Hospital in Knoxville. Born July 21, 1956, he lived in Evarts until he entered college. He graduated from the University of Kentucky College of Engineering where he received the "Old Timers Award" presented to the outstanding mining engineering graduate. He was also a member of Chi Epsilon, the civil engineering honor society. Upon graduation he began his career as a mining engineer in Bell County where he was very well- known and respected for his professionalism.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Elizabeth Ann "Betty" Sunley Bianchi and Lewis E. Bianchi.
Survivors include two step-sons, Dakota Partin, Middlesboro; and Ross B. Mills, Lawrenceburg; a step-granddaughter, Mackenzie Mills; three sisters, Barbara Buckley, Tremont; Diane Bianchi, Lexington; Carol B. Caudill and husband, Kendill, Tremont; and three brothers, John Bianchi, Louisville; Chuck Bianchi and wife, Kathy, Baxter; and Philip Bianchi and wife, Missy, Harlan. Also surviving are his nieces and nephews to whom he was their "favorite uncle," Branen, Eric and Elizabeth Salmon; Megan and Kristin Bianchi; Beth Caudill Ley; Emily Caudill; Michael Bianchi; Vince, Emma and AnnMarie Bianchi; two great-nieces and a great-nephew; and a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, November 10, 2013, at 5 pm in the Chapel of the Evarts Funeral Home with the Reverend Frank Howard officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 1 pm. Burial will be at 10 am Monday at the Evarts Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to your favorite charity.

Robert and I went too school today and graduated. Robert was always smiling and polite and very well mannered. I prays go out to the Family.
