Barbara Rutter Obituary

Barbara Corine Rutter, age 79, of Harrison, Arkansas, passed away on Tuesday, September 17th, 2024, at Hospice of the Hills. She was born on January 28th, 1945, in Boone County, Arkansas, to Thurman T. Harris and Ellen V. (Devore) Harris. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John C. Rutter; and a sister, Mary Benton.

Barbara spent many years taking care of people through her work. She enjoyed music, quilting, knitting, and crafting. She also volunteered at North Arkansas Regional Medical Center.

She is survived by one son, Shannon Barr of Harrison; one daughter, Shelly Barr of Ozark, Missouri; one sister, Wanda Teague of Harrison; one brother, Ross and his wife Willie Harris of Oklahoma; a brother-in-law, Charlie Benton of Arkansas City, Kansas; two nephews, Neil and his wife Cris Teague of Harrison and Greg and his wife Carman Benton of Arkansas City, Kansas; thirteen grandchildren, and many other family and friends who will dearly miss her.

Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, September 20th, 2024, at York Cemetery in Bergman, Arkansas.

Memorials may be made to North Arkansas Regional Medical Center, 620 North Main Street, Harrison, Arkansas 72601.
