Bobby Jack Reese, age 65, of Prairie Grove, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, Dec. 20 (2021) in Fayetteville.
The son of Roger Ward Reese, Sr., and Lillie Blanch (Webb) Reese was born in Dallas, Texas on Aug. 28, 1956. He graduated from Wilmer Hutchins High School in 1973. After high school, his family moved to Boone County, where he lived for over 40 years, before moving to Prairie Grove in 2019.
Bobby worked at Harrison Furniture for 12 years and as a security guard at Villines Lock & Key before he found his true calling of law enforcement. He began his career with the 14th Judicial Drug Task Force for four years followed by attending and graduating from Arkansas Law Enforcement Training Academy in 1991. With his law enforcement certification, he joined the Boone County Sheriff's Office as a deputy and worked there until he retired in 2012, as Patrol Sergeant. He truly loved his career in law enforcement and was honored to wear the badge. After retirement, he worked another four years for Magness Toyota.
Bobby loved the Lord and he was a longtime member of Dominion Life Church in Bergman. He was a former member of Silent Bonez Motorcycle Club. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, weight lifting, martial arts, guns, rodeoing, playing guitar and singing. B.J. loved his family fiercely, especially his kids and grandkids. He was married to the love of his life, Valerie, for 13 years and they were both deeply committed to their love. He also loved his dogs, especially Diego.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Remicah Joann.
B.J. is survived by his wife, Valerie Reese; two children, Jaclyn Robertson (Stephen) and Dustin Reese; three step-sons, Joshua Johnston (Cassie), Kenneth Johnston and Nicholas Lee; six siblings, Roger Reese, Jr., Cindy McKinnie (John), Sherry Summerall (Roland), Bonnie Tharp (Glenn), Kathy Grubb (Steve) and Randy Reese, Sr. (Connie); two grandchildren, Remicah Robertson and Braydn Robertson and a host of nieces, nephews, extended relatives and many friends who loved him and will miss him.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 27, at Dominion Life Church with Brother Coma Rivers officiating. Burial will follow at York Cemetery.
Visitation will be Sunday, Dec. 26 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Coffman Funeral Home.
Pallbearers are Dustin Reese, Stephen Robertson, Braydn Robertson, Kenneth Johnston, Nicholas Lee and David Summerall.
Honorary pallbearers are Roger Reese, Jr., Randy Reese, Sr., Boone County Sheriff's Office and 14th Judicial Drug Task Force.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Dominion Life Church.
