Mary Nell Cotton, age 74, of Marshall, passed from this life on Thursday, Nov. 9 (2017) at her home.
She was born in Dover, on Nov. 13, 1942, to Charles Joe Elliott and Irene Williams Elliott.
Mary Nell was a member of the United Methodist Church in Marshall.
Survivors include her husband of 55-plus years, Larry G. Cotton, of the home; sisters, Nadine Ramsey, of Clarksville, Suzie Wetzel, of Dover, and Charlene Wyatt, also of Dover; one brother, Charles L. "Bill" Elliott, of Clarksville; and many nieces, nephews, other family and friends who will also mourn her passing.
Mary Nell was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Glenna Scott and Thelma Buky.
Arrangements are by Roller-Coffman Funeral Home in Marshall. Funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 12 at Marshall United Methodist Church, with Brother Mike Proctor and Brother Roy Dillard officiating. Special music was performed by Brother Roy Dillard and The Marshall United Methodist Church Choir. Visitation preceded the service at 1 p.m. Burial followed at Marshall Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers were Allen Scott, Tony E. Price, Jim Stephens, J.D. Pritchard, Luke Leeds, Michael Grant, Will Wetzel, Cole Wetzel and Les Wetzel. Honorary pallbearers were Joe Sullivan, Bob Ratchford, Dr. Charles Daniel, J.W. Applegate, Kathleen Mullen and The Red Hot Divas.
