Abe Farley Jr.

FARLEY, Abe Jr. Abe "Junior" Farley, Jr. of Hartford, departed this life on Thursday (August 16, 2007), at St. Francis Hospital. He was born in Birmingham, AL on April 18, 1932; the son of the late Mary (Hampton) and Abe Farley, Sr. He was a resident of Hartford for 54 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Korean conflict. He was employed by Capitol Pipe for 30 years, retiring in 1987. He is survived by his wife, Sabra of Atlanta, GA. He leaves to cherish precious memories, two sisters, Mary L. Bryant and her husband Lamiel of Hartford, Mattie L. Thompson of Bloomfield; a brother Willie J. Farley and his wife, Maureen of East Hartford and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by two brothers and two sisters. Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, August 22 at 6 p.m. at The Clark, Bell & Bell Funeral Home, 319 Barbour St., Hartford. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at 5 p.m. Burial will be at the convenience of the family with full military honors.
