Its been a long time since I have seen u, u don't realize it until someone is gone. I wish we would have stayed in touch a little more, u know u was my girl and i was just thinking how we use to hang out all day everyday we use to have fun and I miss u, u and your family will be in my thoughts. Wow its crazy how time just flew by, but I miss you so much. My heart is hurting so bad because im just now hearing about me losing a good friend. Remembering the day that we were inseperatable. Me, you, and Teresa. No one could ever split us apart in High School. I will truely miss you. I look at your pictures that we all took in school and I just keep crying, but im gonna slow down with the crying cause I know your in a better place. Give your mother a kiss for me. I can remeber how we always use to yell at the bird in your house cause it was making so much noise. I can also remember your house was the quickest house we would run to when we thought we were grown and skipped school. Lol!!!! I know I moved away, but you and Teresa are my sistas for life. I love you so much. To the family, you are in my prayers. Akilah was a sister to me, me and my mother will be praying for all of you. Akilah you hold it down upstairs for me, for we will see each other again. Oh and Happy Birthday, I will neva forget that day. Mine is October 17, and your was October 28, dang girl you was getting old. lol!

remember when u would spend the night at my house and in the morning u would annoy the hell out of me with your throat scratching?!! u were allergic to my dam cat but you'd still come over. :) i thought about the time my dog made a mess all over our monopoly game and how we snuck out of my house on new years eve and walked our selves down town to see the fire works. Need i mention the time we both ran away to each others house at the exact same time and was gone for a good 2 weeks? Or how about the time we went shopping with mom and we got the same outfit and wore it on the first day of high school. dorks? there are so many memories with u through out my life and tho i should celebrate your birthday im so full of sadness knowing we will never make another memory. I will hold u in my heart and never forget anything u and i have ever done. I love u Kilah. My sister, cousin, bestfriend.

Akilah, we lost contact so many moons ago. When I saw your face it was like yesterday.... when I was come over to play at your house with that crazy bird. We where so carefree when we where little, if only life would allow us to stay that way. I love you and will miss you always.

nintendo (oooohh you made me
mad) or when we used to make
pop tarts in the toaster and
see who could refrain from
jumping when they popped up
lol....Sneaking packs of
Alpine Whites and going
behind the trailers on
Barker St. we swore we were
grown!! Thank you for always
being a true friend and
sister I will think of you
everyday, every hour, every

Akilah, it is heartwrenching to have to say goodbye to a beautiful young mother, daugther, friend too early. I wish there was a way to go back to lend a hand and reconnect. Yet, now you've taught me to cherish my time with my children and family. I hope you are in a better place and you are happy and at peace. I will rememember you and your mom fondly always. Kilah, there are just too many memories: happy, sad, crazy, wild, funny, terrifying, but most importantly each one was filled with love. Dear Joe, When I held her face in my hands the last time we saw each other little did I know. I am so sorry, I know there are no words that I can give you to heal your pain. However I love you for having me in your life, we shared great times and Akilah knew we were family. I miss Linda every day but I know that she had more beliefs about the here after than anyone I know. I first met Akilah back in 7th grade. She kept to herself, but once you got to know her, she was the best friend anyone could ever have. After high school, we lost contact and were reunited when she came in for an interview at the office and was hired. It was very exciting to see her again. I had the pleasure of working with her this year. The opportunity to talk to her, laugh with her, learn from her. She was definitely one extraordinary person. It did not matter if you were having a bad day, because as soon as you saw her smile everything else was forgotten. Anyone who knew her was blessed to have her as a friend. Going to work, will never be the same again, but I know she'll always be right there with us. My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief.

Akilah is going to greatly missed by all that knew her. She was a very special person that always thought about others. She always made my day. We're going to miss her very much at the office. Especially Dr. Stein because she made sure she got his money. We're going to miss her laughter and smile along with her moods, her running into the office late hair not done but she was there with that big smile and sometimes not .
