Albert Campanelli Obituary

Albert J. Campanelli, 74, of Wethersfield, beloved husband of Dorothy (Manocchio) Campanelli died Monday, (August 12, 2002). He was born in Hartford, son of Mary (Minadeo) Campanelli of Elmwood and the late Michael Campanelli and had lived in the area all of his life. He was a retired Postal Supervisor for the Hartford Post Office, an Army Veteran, a 1946 graduate of Weaver High School and a Charter member and past President of the Windsor Locks Lion's Club. He was a lifelong New York Yankee fan and an avid fisherman. Besides his wife and mother, he leaves his loving family, sons, Joseph and his wife, Carolyn Campanelli, of Wellesley Hills, MA, Peter Campanelli of Keene, NH; daughters, Brenda Thayer and JoAnn and her husband, William Fenton, all of Keene, NH, Debbie and her husband, William Rochat, of Palm City, FL; stepsons, William and his wife, JoAnn Stetson, of Kensington, Daniel and his wife, Nancy Stetson, of Glastonbury; stepdaughters, Mary Beth and her husband, Lee Welch, of Windsor, Meg and her husband, Daniel DeLeo, of Hebron, Catherine and James DeRienzo of Wethersfield; brothers and sisters-in-law, Victor and Joyce Campanelli and Joseph and Arlene Campanelli, all of Florida, Michael Campanelli of Wethersfield, Anthony and Maureen Campanelli of West Hartford; a sister and brother-in-law, Mary Carmel and Ronald Jarvis of West Hartford; and 19 grandchildren. Funeral services will be Friday, August 16, 9 a.m. from the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield, with a Mass of Christian Burial, 10 a.m., in the Church of the Incarnation, Wethersfield. Burial with military honors in Mount St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. Friends may call at the chapel Thursday, 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to American Parkinson's Disease Association, 1250 Hylan Blvd., Staten Island, New York, 10305.
