Elaine and family, the last time I saw you was a couple of days before you left Ely Circle. A young woman brought up the name of the Gansons and of course your two "children" last Saturday, so you were on my mind and I was wondering about all of you. Sad to see this notice and so sorry to hear about Al...you made such a beautiful couple and I enjoyed the time I was babysitting for your kids so long ago. Sorry you have lost him. Sending love and remembering all of you.

To Mom(Elaine), Wayne, and Shari; Big Al was always there for me ever since I lost my Dad at a very young age. Al taught me to strive to be the best, chase my dreams, and to take full responsibility for my actions. When I was vulnerable to associate with friends going down the wrong path, I observed and lived by the example of Wanye and Shari. I knew they were good people and had goals and today proves me right. Sorry that I am unable to break away from my crazy work schedule but please know that The Dobrutsky Family is part of my fabric and who I am today. My heart is interwoven through all of you!! God Bless Mr. D, and I am sure he is looking down over Wayne and I telling us to keep dreaming and pushing forward. Love You Guys! God Bless, Jeff, Sonia, Stephanie, Jeffrey, and Megan Bassell.

Elaine, Shari and Wayne,
My heartfelt sympathies and thoughts to you and yours. Your husband and dad was not just my "coach" on the Windsor Vikings, but a mentor, and genuinely a really wonderful man. He helped me and so many others over the years in athletics and, more significantly, in life in general. Many fond thoughts and appreciation for knowing him will stay with me forever.

To the Dobrutsky Family:
It was with a heavy heart that I heard of Al's passing. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather, a person I was proud to call a friend. His support of what we were doing in the Windsor High baseball program has never been forgotten. The number of times we talked, my stops at your Ely Circle home, etc. are pleasant memories. He devoted much time to Windsor youth, and it is my hope that those now adults recall fondly his times helping them become young adults. It was my pleasure to have known him, and I send you my and my family's deepest sympathies.
