ZACZYNSKI, Alexander E. Alexander E. Zaczynski, 87, of Enfield entered into eternal life on Thursday (January 27, 2005) at Johnson Memorial Hospital, Stafford Springs. Alex was born in Westfield, MA the son of the late Alexander and Mary (Niemczk) Zaczynski and resided in Suffield and was an Enfield resident for 59 years. He was employed as a Tool & Dye maker most of his life and had formerly been employed by the former Choice Vend in Windsor Locks, and later by Lego in Enfield. Alex was a U.S. Army Air Force Veteran of World War II having served as a sergeant with the 490th engineering squadron and was a recipient of the Bronze Star. Alex was a member of Holy Cross Parish Enfield and served on the Board of Directors of the Church for many years. Alex is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years Helen (Kostek) Zaczynski, and is survived by his beloved son and daughter-in-law, Bruce and Anna Zaczynski of Maryland. Alex also leaves two brothers and sisters-in-law, Stanley and Lucille Zaczynski and Joseph and Stacia Zaczynski, all of Suffield; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother and sister-in-law, John and Nellie Zaczynski, also a sister and brother-in-law, Jennie and Steven Sojia. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 1, at 10 a.m. from Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels, 43 Shaker Rd., Enfield followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in Holy Cross Parish, Enfield; burial will be with military honors in Holy Cross Cemetery.
