Allan A. WELCH

WELCH, Allan A. Allan A. Welch, 76, a longtime resident of Enfield, passed away peacefully on Sunday, (May 9, 2010), at Parkway Pavilion. Born on June 7, 1933, in Woodsville, NH, Allan was the son of the late Freeman and Effie (Green) Welch. A veteran of the Korean War, Allan proudly served his country in the United States Army. Prior to his retirement, he worked for over 27 years for Eastern Airlines at Bradley International Airport. Allan was a member of the Moose Family Center #1525 of Enfield. In his leisure time Allan was an avid Boston Red Sox fan and he enjoyed bowling, horseshoes, and golf. A beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and uncle, Allan is survived by his children, James Welch of Enfield and Jeanne Welch of Stafford; his grandchildren; Jennifer Bouchard, Melissa Stauffer, Krystal Costigan, Ryan Welch, Jesse Welch, Joseph Shepard, Justin Welch, Jack Aspinall, and Allan Elsayed; his great- grandchildren, Nicholas Bouchard, Makayla Stauffer, Sabrina Bouchard, and Steven Stauffer, Jr.; his siblings, Madeline Estes, Bernard Welch and his wife Jan and Max Welch and his wife Susan all of E. Hartford; Arthur Welch and his wife Marie of CA; Hazel Carr of NH; Ruth Boeming and her husband Andrew of FL; and Shirley Fabden of NH; as well as many nieces and nephews. Allan was predeceased by his beloved wife, Lois (Pace) Welch and his two sons, Charles F. and Timothy L. Welch. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, (May 12, 2010), from 6-8 p.m. at the Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Road, Enfield. Funeral services for Allan will be held on Thursday, (May 13, 2010), at 1 p.m. at the Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Hazardville Cemetery.
