Andrew Castellano Obituary
Andrew V. Castellano, 93, of Southington, passed away at the UCONN Health Center in Farmington. He was the husband of Maria (Cusano) Castellano. He was born February 16, 1921 in NY the son of the late Stephen and Catherine (Albanese) Castellano. Andy was in the Army during WWII serving in the European Campaign and was a member of the Moose Club. He was affectionately known as "Handy Andy". He also was a parishioner of St. Thomas Church. In addition to his wife he is survived by a daughter Carol Tycz and husband James, a son Carmen Matteo and wife Christine all of Southington, grandchildren Lindsey Jardine and husband Brian of Plainville, Katherine and Lauren Tycz both of Southington, sisters Catherine Costantino, Dorothy Costantino, and Lottie Castellano all of NY, along with several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers Sam and Steve Castellano. The Funeral will be Tuesday, 11 a.m. at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St, Southington. Burial with Military Honors will be at St. Thomas Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 9 am until the service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the charity of ones choice or the Southington YMCA Memorial Garden, 29 High St., Southington, CT, 06489. Carmen & Family,, so sorry to hear of your dads passing. I remember when we were young ( seems those memories are closer to me now ) we would all gather at your house and eat grapes and play ball in the back yard, many fun times- my thoughts and prayers are with you all
