Angela M. Peters

Angela M. Peters, 75, of Avon, beloved wife of David R. Peters, passed away peacefully Monday, April 17th, 2023. Born November 17th, 1947 in Lawrence, MA, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Patricia (Wojtkiewicz) Amato, Sr.

Angela attended University of Hartford and enjoyed working for the CT Governor's office, in the mental health field and finally as a realtor, from which she retired. Angela was an avid tennis player, reader, enjoyed travel and spending time at her second home in Florida. Throughout her life she volunteered for Hospice, Special Olympics and took such pride in helping others. Angela was feisty and a straight shooter and when she loved you she loved you for life and deeply.

Besides her husband, Angela is survived by her daughter, Michelle Peters of Plainville, her brother, Anthony Amato, Jr., and his wife Judi of Winsted, her niece, Nicole Lang and family of California and many nieces and nephews and extended family. She loved Christmas - Whenever you hear a Christmas song, think of Angela. She was the wind beneath our wings! Angela and her family were so grateful for the loving care she received from the entire team, especially the staff on West 2- at the Hospital of Central CT in New Britain.

At Angela's request, there will be no funeral services. Angela was so proud of the work her daughter does for the community with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
