Angelo PROCOPIO

PROCOPIO, Angelo Angelo Procopio, 83, of Wethersfield, beloved husband of the late Joan (Grasso) Procopio, passed away Sunday (July 25, 2010). He was born January 24, 1927 in Hartford, the son of the late Rocco and Virginia (Granato) Procopio. Angelo was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving during World War II. Prior to his retirement, Angelo was employed for over 40 years at the Metropolitan District Commission in Hartford. He is survived by two daughters, Roxanne Stevens and her husband Sebastian of Wethersfield, and Doreen Anderson of Summerville, SC; a sister, Theresa Stewart of Orange County, CA; four grandchildren, six great grandchildren and his former son-in-law, Gustaf Anderson. He was predeceased by a brother, Louis Procopio. Special thanks to his granddaughter Christine Waldie for the care and compassion shown to Angelo during his brief illness. Funeral services will be Wednesday (July 28), at 10 a.m. at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield. Burial with military honors will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Park, Rocky Hill. Calling hours are TODAY from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral chapel.
