Anna Borracci Obituary

Anna E. (DeBella) Borracci, 96, of James St., Windsor Locks, wife of the late Joseph Borracci, passed away Sunday (December 22, 2002) at St. Francis Hospital. Anna was born in Windsor Locks, daughter of the late Frank P. and Angela Rose DeBella and was a lifelong resident of the community. She and her late husband operated Joe Borracci's Market on Oak St. for many years. She also had been employed by the Montgomery Co. and G. Fox. & Co. She loved working in her garden. She is survived by two children, Roseann Borracci and Silvio Borracci and his wife, Ann-Teresa Borracci all of Windsor Locks; two sisters, Dr. Isabelle DeBella of Washington, DC; Catherine Mangano of Tuckahoe, NY and Rose Marcellini of Windsor Locks; five grandchildren, Ann Marie Borracci of Suffield; Kathleen Turnberg-Saunders of East Granby; Joseph Borracci of East Windsor; Mary Ann Turnberg-Ravelese of Suffield; and Joann Turnberg-Weskoski of Windsor Locks; five great grandchildren; Matthew Saunders, Diana Dunn, Brian Dunn, Eric Weskoski and Kaitlyn Weskoski. She was predeceased by a daughter, Antoinette Borracci-Turnberg; two brothers, Frank DeBella and Silvio DeBella; four sisters, Anna DiPinto, Mary Derench, Margaret DeBella and Nellie Brescia. Relatives and friends are invited to gather Friday at 9:15 a.m. at the Windsor Locks Funeral Home, 441 Spring St., Windsor Locks for a procession to St. Mary Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery. Her family will receive friends Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Windsor Locks Funeral Home.
