McCARTHY, Anna K. Anna King McCarthy, age 94, formerly of 40 Henry St., died Wednesday, (November 23, 2005) at Bayview Healthcare in Waterford. She was born in Straide, County Mayo, Ireland, October 28, 1911, the daughter of Patrick and Anna Cogger King. She was the widow of John F. McCarthy who died March 3, 1973. She is survived by two daughters, Sheila McCarthy and Kathleen McCarthy, both of New London; a son John "Jack" McCarthy and his wife Lucille of Cromwell; a sister Mary Bowes of New London; four grandchildren, eight great grandchildren. The funeral will assemble at 10:15 a.m. Monday at the Thomas L. Neilan & sons Funeral Home, 12 Ocean Ave., New London and proceed to a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph Church at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery. Calling hours are Sunday from 3-7 p.m. Flowers are acceptable, or a donation in her name may be made to the VNA of SE Connecticut, 403 North Frontage Rd., Waterford, CT 06385; the L & M Development Fund, 365 Montauk Ave., New London, CT 06320; or to the Shoreline Adult Daycare Center, 1 Beechwood Dr, Waterford.
