I offer my heartfelt sympathies to the Mathis/Parker family for the loss of your dear mother. Having met her only twice, I can attest to her warm and welcoming nature. Eyvonne, I know how you and your siblings must be feeling and want to apologize for missing the services as I was unaware of your loss. I know you and all your family members have received comfort in the knowledge that your mother is home in spirit.

The legacy that Mrs.Parker has left is filled with compassion, truth, understanding , wisdom , long suffering , and most of all Love! We will never forget her.
Back in the day when I arrived every Tuesday to tutor Deborah
little did I know I was getting tutored and I thanked Mrs. Parker for the life lessons I nevered missed a Tuesday...her cooking and advise kept me coming I thank her for teaching me how to properly clean a house and I would be remiss if I didn't mention that she taught me how to bake the famous "BLUE RIBBON CAKE" She was truly a Ma-Sistah to me.She will always remain in my heart,
Forever grateful to the Parker & Mathis family for sharing her... another one of her wonderful traits . May our Lord and Savior cover each one of you with His abundant Love and heart healing power during times like this. I pray for your strength,Earth has no sorrow .., that Heaven can not heal.

Deborah and the rest of my brothers and sisters of the Parker family. Words cannot express the love that your mother has always had for me. She would always say that she was my second mother and that she was. I remember the amount of time I spent with all of you growing up. Your mother was the one person my mother trusted me with. Annie and Beatrice, they were sisters until the end. Now they are together again in His glory. May God send comfort to all of you. I have just lost my other mother.

God Bless You and Keep You.

Your sister from another mother.

To the Parker Family,
I am so very saddened to hear of Ms Parker passing, I knew all of you, we lived on the first floor and the Parker's lived on the second floor (Magnolia Street). Ms Parker and my mom became good friends, I can hear her voice so well, calling my mom Ms Scott. Deborah and I became good friends too. Ms Parker door was always open to everyone. She was a very sweet person. I am so sorry I could not attend.
With my deepest Sympathy

To the Parker family:

I was shocked to read today's Hartford Courant and see a familiar face in the obituary section. I had not heard that Mrs. Parker had passed so soon after her brother's passing on October 8. Your family will be in our prayers for your strength and comfort in knowing that your mother loved you until the end.

I remember the many long talks Mrs. Parker and I had when Eyvonne and I were in law school. She experienced all of the highs and lows with us--the long days and nights of classes and exams and papers, the personal challenges Eyvonne and I endured during law school, the excitement of graduation and the arduous journey of studying for the bar exam together. Mrs. Parker was right there with us the entire four plus years. I remember how much she prayed for us, encouraged us, cooked for us, supported us and generously shared her time and wisdom with us.

After I got "too busy" and didn't call or visit her like I should have, she always told me that she understood. That is how she was. She was a complex woman of God, a woman of faith and unconditional love.

The Gaither family's lives were enriched by having known "Annie Mae" and having been a part of the extended Parker family.

I am sure that God is now saying, "well done, well done, thy good and faithful servant, well done."

Annie Mae, you have earned your rest!

Dear Family....
I love all of you to pieces!!
I send my heartfelt ondolences and love during this time. As I sit here and grieve with you I also do so with a smile! I smile because I know that Nana is in a better place and resting peacefully. I smile because of all the wonderful memories I have with Nana and you the family. I smile because Nana and all of you welcomed ME with open and loving arms. I was only 2 years old...Daddy Jerone was the only dad I ever knew and I always felt very much loved and a part of the family since I could remember...So again I smile because Nana always told me she loves me too! I smile because she had such a big heart open arms and an open door! I smile because she always smiled!
May we all find peace in all the wonderful memories we have and cherish all the moments we had with Nana!
Love always,
Keisha
