Gail,
Our lives came together in such an unusual and sad way, but I will never forget seeing your face for the first time. While I do not understand things like this my faith in God is strong. And someday I will be stronger having seen what you went through and realizing how short and precious life is. We had only lived in our house for one week when I saw your grieving eyes across the street. I also saw Policemen, Firemen, and EMTs working together to save your husband. In the midst of all of that fear there was a sense of comfort and pride in our community. And most of all HOPE.
Be strong and keep the memories. A friend once said to me, after someone close to her died, "She is now painting rainbows in heaven." Whenever I see rainbows I think of my loved ones. Now is your chance to have your husband paint you rainbows. My thoughts and prayers will be with you always.
