Antonella PAPPALARDO Obituary
PAPPALARDO, Antonella (Giarratana)
Antonella Giarratana Pappalardo of New Britain passed away after a brave fight with cancer on March 30, 2012. She is survived by her husband Raymond Scott Pappalardo and her children Alassandra and Antonio Giovannucci. She was the daughter of Maria Giarratana of Newington and the late Rosario Giarratana; and also leaves her brothers Lino Giarratana and his wife Lisa of Avon, John Giarratana and his wife Eva of Newington and Rosario Giarratana and his wife Tami of Newington. She was a devoted wife and loving mother whose passion was her family.
A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, April 7th, at 10 a.m. at the Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, 355 Camp St., Bristol. Private burial will be in West Meadow Cemetery, Newington. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Giovannucci Children's College Trust Fund at People's United Bank, New Britain Stop & Shop Branch, 677 West Main St., New Britain, CT 06053. Newington Memorial Funeral Home, 20 Bonair Ave., Newington, is serving the family. To share a memory with the family, please visit us at www.newingtonmemorial.com.

My thoughts and prays go out to Tony's family & her beautiful children, what a great Mom she was. I had the pleasure of sharing our sons little league days together with her, she was all about the kids & so kind & giving to all of them. Her kids were her world. Mike will always remember the fun (& the food...what a good cook) when he went camping with the family. My deepest sympathies, Toni you will be missed dearly.

To Antonella's loved one's:
I met Antonella during a parent band meeting at NBHS, she was quite a presence on and off the "field" during football season. She could be found in the band room, giving direction to kids and parents alike. She chaperoned every football game and marched in every parade. Antonella was a dedicated parent, friend and enthusiastic supporter of the NBHS marching band/music dept. There will be a void in the community of parents and students associated with the NBHS music dept. at the loss of Antonella as well as a void in many hearts.
May you all find comfort today and always, in the memories you created and shared with Antonella.
