Dear Nowik Family, I worked with Arlene at TEMS and we were good friends for many years. She had a genuine heart and always gave back to others. She shared her amazing baking skills by sending treats my way all the time. Arlene was a strong and courageous lady. I am grateful to have called her a close friend. Rest In Peace my dear friend.

Arlene was a angel on earth. She cared and prayed for others even animals. Her mission and love was cooking and caring for others. But now she has left us and is a angel in heaven. I love you and will miss you.

Arlene was a strong advocate for teaching and learning. She embraced her students with the belief that everyone can learn and be successful.
In addition to being her former principal, it was also a privilege to call her my friend, and a close one at that. Her strong faith gave her the courage and strength to continue with her life during these difficult times. There is now a new angel in heaven, Arlene, looking over us.
Love always,
Jan Tirinzonie

Arlene was the consummate professional who was an exemplary English teacher and human being. Her love for her subject matter and the middle school students in her charge was obvious. There is no question that she positively impacted the lives of her students and her colleagues. Best to her family and friends as I know she will be missed, Laura Boutilier

To the Nowik family. My name is Bob Schmidt and I worked with Arlene at Timothy Edward´s Middle School for many years. She was an excellent English teacher and made my job easier as a social studies teacher. I retired with Arlene in 2013. I´m sorry for your loss. She helped many students become better writers!

I am so s when I lived in sorry for your loss. Ms. Nowik was my 8th grade English teacher when I lived in CT. We moved to North Carolina in 1988. I would always stay in contact with her through emails and Christmas cards. She was an inspiration to us all. She was the one teacher who made me want to work with children. She will be truly missed. Rest In Peace beautiful and sweet lady.
