CLARKE, Berenice (White) Berenice (White) Clarke, 86, of Suffield, beloved wife of the late Edward C. Clarke died Friday, (February 25, 2005) at a local convalescent home. Born November 8, 1918 in Hartford, daughter of the late Mark and Bernice (Humphrey) White she lived in East Granby before moving to Suffield in 1974. Before retiring in 1981 she was employed by Hamilton Standard for 23 years as administrative assistant to the vice president. Berenice was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church, Suffield and was active at the Suffield Senior Center. She is survived by a daughter, Judy Galetta of Suffield; a brother, Eugene White and his wife, Patricia of Palm City, FL; three grandchildren, Steven Galetta (Sharon), David Galetta (Dawn) and Meg Haring (Doug); six great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and all her dear friends at Park Place. She was predeceased by an infant son, Frank and a brother, Mark W. White. Special thanks to her caregivers, Mary McGrory and Val Petrina. Family and friends may gather Tuesday, March 1, at 9:15 a.m. at the Nicholson & Carmon Funeral Home, 443 East St., Suffield, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m., at Sacred Heart Church, 446 Mountain Rd., Suffield. Burial will be in Mount St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. Her family will receive friends Monday from 4-7 p.m. at the Nicholson & Carmon Funeral Home.
