Betty Dove Obituary
Betty C. Dove, of Haddam, and formerly of Middle Haddam, beloved wife of the late Roger M. Dove, died December 13, 2013 at Middlesex Hospital Hospice Unit in Middletown. Born April 20, 1919 in Edinburgh, Scotland, she was the daughter of the late John and Janet Shepherd. Mrs. Dove was preceded in death by her husband Roger M. Dove, two sons, Jonathan and Timothy, and her sister, Margaret Blakely. She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer (Michael) McFerron of Greenville SC, her son Dr. Michael R. Dove of Killingworth, her granddaughter Margaret Rose Carpenter-Dove of Killingworth, and many nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place and family services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Connecticut Humane Society, 701 Russell Rd, Newington, CT 06111 www.cthumane.org/ The Spencer Funeral Home has care of arrangements.
