WHEELER, Betty J.
Betty J. Wheeler, 65, of Middletown died peacefully in her sleep on June 5, 2013. Born on October 14, 1947 in Webster, MA she is preceded in death by her parents, William and Emily Rusack, her ex-husband, Roy Wheeler and her two brothers, Harry and Richard. Betty is survived by; her two sons, Robert A. Wheeler and his wife, Kasey of Rocky Hill and Thomas A. Wheeler of Middletown, her sister, Janet Caouette and her husband, George, her five beloved grandchildren, Peter, Molly, Annie, Elizabeth and Ellie and many special nieces, nephews and friends. Betty worked as a cashier at K-Mart in Cromwell for the last seven years and loved the opportunity her job gave her to get to know her "regulars" and to spend time with her co-workers and friends, especially her best friend, Janet. She was a voracious reader, enjoyed doing word searches and loved to dance.
Calling hours will be from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at Dillon - Baxter Funeral Home, 1276 Berlin Turnpike, Wethersfield. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Amazing Grace Food Pantry, 16 Stack St., Middletown, CT 06457. I just heard about Betty's passing. I had the pleasure to work with her at Kmart for a couple years. She was always so happy and smiling and could turn your frown upside down. She was also a friend to my husband. We will both miss seeing her around at Kmart! Rest in Peace, Betty!

I am sorry for your lose. Betty always knew how to make you laugh or make your day. Betty was so proud of her grandchildren always showing off the newest pictures of them.
