Brian Wilson Obituary

WILSON, Brian D., Jr. Brian D. Wilson, Jr., 23, of Burlington, formerly of Plainville, passed away unexpectedly on Friday (December 12, 2008). He was born in Clearwater, FL on February 7, 1985, moving to Plainville when he was 15. Brian attended local schools, graduating from Plainville High in 2003, where he was a four year member of the wrestling team, and played football. One of his many passions was working with, building, and fixing computers, a hobby he turned into a career when starting his own business at the age of 17, Integrated Network Solutions. Currently, he worked for area businesses in addition to being a private contractor. His work, as well as his outgoing and lively personality allowed him to network with clients and create a wide circle of friends. Following in his grandfather's footsteps, Brian joined the Plainville Fire Department, where he acquired the nickname "Spongebob". A longtime car enthusiast, Brian was a member the C3 Car Club, could be found many days off-roading in his Jeep at Neapaug with his friends from the SIS Jeep Club, or attending car shows throughout New England. Brian led a life full of adventure and ambition. He had a heart of gold and a big smile for everyone, and will be dearly missed by his family and countless friends. He leaves his devoted parents, Tom and Linda DeZenzo of Burlington, with whom he shared a special bond for the past 10 years; the love of his life, his girlfriend, Sharon Dahlmeyer of Wallingford; his dear friend, Matt Cohen, whom he considered a little brother; many aunts, uncles, including Pete and Aimee, who he was especially close to; and several cousins, nieces and nephews. He also leaves his extended family, his mother, Dawn Turgeon; his grandparents, Peter and Donna Turgeon, all of Florida; and his sisters, Meaghan, Jessica, Melissa, Sarah, and Amanda, and Dan Elyosius, who was like a brother to Brian. Funeral Services will be held on Friday at 9 a.m. from Bailey Funeral Home, 48 Broad St., Plainville, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Mercy Church. Committal services will be held at a later date. Relatives and friends may gather on Thursday evening, from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home. In remembering Brian D. Wilson, Jr., I find myself reflecting not just on the loss of a remarkable individual, but also on the profound personal impact he had on my life. Brian was more than just a friend or a peer; he was an inspiration, a catalyst who transformed my own aspirations into reality.

When I first met Brian, his passion for technology and his entrepreneurial spirit were immediately evident. He had already taken the bold step of turning his love for computers into a thriving business with Integrated Network Solutions. Witnessing Brian´s journey from a talented hobbyist to a successful IT professional was nothing short of inspiring. His ability to upgrade and modernize IT systems for local businesses was not just a display of his technical expertise, but also of his vision and determination.

What truly set Brian apart, however, was his innate kindness and selflessness. His interactions were always imbued with a genuine desire to help and uplift others. Spending time with Brian, whether on simple errands, at his home, or working alongside him, was a lesson in humility and altruism. He had a unique way of making everyone around him feel valued and important. His selfless nature was not just an aspect of his personality; it was the essence of who he was.

Brian´s influence on my life was profound and transformative. Seeing him successfully operate a managed IT firm, something I had only considered as a distant possibility, made the dream seem attainable. He demystified the path from hobby to profession, showing me that with hard work, dedication, and a willingness to help others, one could turn a passion into a successful career. Inspired by his example, I took the leap and started my own IT company, turning what was previously an avocation into an occupation.

His sudden passing was a tremendous loss, not only to those who knew him but to the community he served so selflessly. Brian's legacy is not just in the business he built or the projects he completed, but in the lives he touched, including my own. He showed us that success is not just about what you achieve, but how you impact the lives of others along the way.

As I continue in my own professional journey, I carry with me the lessons learned from Brian, his spirit of generosity, his unwavering commitment to his community, and his belief in the power of technology to make a difference. His memory serves as a guiding light, a reminder of the impact one individual can have, not just through their achievements, but through their character and their heart.

Rest in peace, Brian. Your legacy continues to inspire and guide those of us who were fortunate enough to know you. You will always be remembered, not just for what you did, but for who you were and the lives you changed, including mine.

Hi Sweetheart,
Tomorrow is the one year mark since anyone has seen you. I'm glad you called me and pop a few days before. We had a chance to talk about the new part of your life you were heading toward with Sharon. We were so happy for you that day. One year later, and the tears still drop out of our eyes each time we think of you. We miss you ever so much. We still cannot believe this all happened. We will continue to talk to you in our nightly prayers. We still have all of our memories and all our our photo's of you. We live in Texas now. We know you would have been here to visit us.
Love and hugs, forever be in our hearts.

Hey Bri, I was thinking of you today because I'm not feeling too good. My pain is at a high level and you always made me feel good when I've been down. I was reading all the stuff on the LS1GTO site about you and it made me cry. I miss you "Brother", oh and I'm displaying my little memorial in picture board at the Friday night Hooters meet. Many people didn't hear that you have passed on and were very sad to hear the news. They stood and looked at all the pictures and talked about when they met you and how much fun they had with you!! I also display the Trophy your parents awarded me at the 09 CCSU meet in your memory, proudly right in the middle of my engine compartment for all to see. I really miss our talks Brian, and often think of you when I'm down like today. I feel much better that I got to write to you today, as always, thinking about you takes my mind off of my problems. And today is no exception.

Love and miss ya Bro,

Brian,
Yesterday was your sister Meaghan's Wedding Day,(July 4,2009). I know we don't have to tell you how beautiful she looked. I know we don't have to tell you Tom, Linda, Danny and Sharon were there, and that your little sister, Jessica was a bridesmaid.Poppy walked your sister down the aisle dressed in his new white top hat. You were supposed to have been in the wedding also, and we all missed you. We think you were right there with us though, surely in each and every heart of those who love you.
Thinking of you every minute.

I met Brian at tunxis, it has been some time since I met him, he inspired me to start my computer company and I was hoping to reunite with him after I built the company up to all the things he once told me he wanted to do for his. I have now reached that point and after going out to relocate him and get in contact I find he has passed on. It sucks to say the least, one that I am finding out about this a year later and two that from what I am hearing he had a heart attack. That man was awsome, from the semester I got to spend with him he has impacted my life immensely. Without him I likely woulnd not have started Dynamic Network Solutions, a small jump from his Integrated Network Solutions. He was a great individual and as long as I draw a breath his legacy lives on through me and all the other people who he inspired and influenced, I only wish I had more time with him.

I remember when I first met Brian. It was the summer of 1993. My cousins Ken and Dan(Tank) had just come back from Rhode Island and I met Brian and his sisters Meagan and Jess at my Aunt Chris's. I remember that day in vivid detail; we all played Legos and such. The last time I saw Brian I think was the Fall of 2007. Brian you will be dearly missed. May God keep you now and always in his presence. "For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under Heaven." Ecclesiastes 3:1-3

My heartfelt sympathy to Tom and Linda.
Your son has left but not for long.
He comes to you in a prayer or a song.
Out of sight it may appear
But listen closely for he is here.
Close your eyes and remain quite still
Brian is present for this is his will.
Rejoice in the memories, give praise to his name
Love of Brian in your heart does remain.
God Bless your entire family.
